Mine Field or Mind Field? What's the difference? They both can blow up!

I really love this quote, with all the stark truth it brings. I know very little about Taoism except that Tao means the way of Life, the underlying principle of all Life, all that is in harmony with the natural order. When I say to know the Creator, and all of Creation, this is what I mean, the natural order of things. This is the simple way, the pure simple knowledge of the Creator. The goal is to learn our life’s lessons, live from the heart a life of love and kindness, boost the planet up and leave it a better place. It is so simple that it takes a big time teacher, or preacher, or professor to complicate it. They can weave a complex picture that will take you off in so many rabbit trails you can’t find your way back. Gee, you were feeling so good before that!!

There are many webcasts, podcasts, seminars online, writings, and teachings from many, many spiritual teachers, energy workers, and enlightenment people today. However, at times it reminds me of a “mine field”, or, to use a play on words, a “mind field”. There is so much mixed in with all the wonderful things to read, hear and learn, that we need some simple guidelines. So, bear with me please. Warnings need to be posted along the way. These are not fear-based warnings, but warnings that benefit us by keeping us in the way of peace, love and goodness.

Just the other night, we tuned in to an interview with someone (who I won’t name) and the longer I listened, the more agitated and restless I felt in my inner being. You know, those “squiggles” that tell you something is not right, or, that person is one to steer clear of. Not a good sign when that happens. Pay attention to these signs. Learn to read, with understanding, the signals you are receiving from your own higher self, God and the Angels. When the red flags pop up, pay attention and take action.

This person’s cool heavy stoic voice was expounding on many aspects of life/death/religion/matrix/etc., getting exponentially more and more complicated. The intellect was spinning around with dazzling speed in theories of our existence, the “matrix”, how life is just a dream, multiple universes, all sounding very deep, real DEEP but difficult, complex. No mention of the heart. Such Atlantean minded brilliance! The interviewer seemed dazzled, hungry for more. Reading the interviewer’s vibes were interesting! Not pleasant. I hit the stop button on the player. Whew! What a relief! Sensitive empathic people pick up on things oftentimes painfully clear.

The mind, the mind, the mind, the mind!!! All head mode. Where is the HEART!!!??? The heart has far more neurons than the brain. The heart has a huge biofield, and when it’s charged up, it can emanate out and change your world.

The heart lived, true spiritual life flows like water, gently touched by the wind, fired with passion, and strong as steel. It’s full of joy. Simple. Elemental. Natural. Uncomplicated. Relationship oriented. Union with the Creator, the Creation and other children of Light. Simple, thrilling, full of life, joy, laughter, great uplifting energy, and you shine!

There is no obsession with materialism, because the Presence of Creator brings such peace assuring you of total provision, even abundance to give away.

All this mind obsession and materialism without the Divine Relationship of Heart Based Living reminds me of an old Star Trek episode….

Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock and a small contingency went to the surface of a stark barren planet. They kept picking up some type of life forms on their hand-held unit, but saw no sign of life anywhere. Puzzled and searching, they entered a cave where they found three large brains under a glass bell jar. This was the only life form on the planet. They told how their civilization became so advanced MENTALLY (BRAIN), more and more technologically entangled until they had no use for their bodies anymore. They ceased reproduction (sex), the population died off, bodies were useless, and this was all that remained. A big fat mind. No heart. No body.

I always think of this episode when people are so extremely “Brain Oriented”, Head Mode, instead of Heart Living. Mind logic instead of relationship. Or, when people are so meshed and merged with technology that doing anything physical, fun, or enjoying nature is beyond them. The Star Trek episode is my idea of where that all leads. I know nothing about Franz except one lengthy article which I read, and I loved it.

Allow me to use a passage from the writings of Franz Erdl here to explain what I mean by “Brain Oriented”, Head Mode, or Atlantean minded. It is so perfect in showing the difference between a heart based life, versus having all one’s life full of the mind. (Please don’t freak out when he refers to a past life experience, if it bothers you. Just let it go as a dream layer, a genetic memory, a parable, or something. It is the message I really want you to get.)

Franz Erdl quote “About fifteen years ago, I was finally out of the office atmosphere and I sat in my big apartment at the edge of a forest. I participated in a good seminar at that time where one met many positive people. Maybe it was these factors that suddenly, something popped up inside me. Something happened to my heart. Something opened up that had never happened before.

Three seminar-participants stayed the night with me at my apartment. As I faced the first visitor who got up that morning, I broke out in tears of joy. And it was not even embarrassing for me. I was so overjoyed. It probably was the first time in this life that I could completely perceive a human being and his soul. This contact was so intensive that it overpowered me. After I was able to calm myself down again, I could explain to my opposite what was going on. But I had only five minutes, because then, the next happiness attack came with many tears. As the others got up, the same thing happened from the beginning.

Later, I had to drive our small group to the seminar and I remember the trip very well because my tears broke out at least ten times during the half-hour trip. My heart probably got used to this condition in the next few days. I could then meet people and actually keep my eyes dry. But a constant lucky feeling was in me, which increased when I met people.

I could sense a second feeling that was contentment, indescribable contentment. I had no more interest at all to go to Schwabing in the evening, where a part of Munich’s nightlife happens and to unsuccessfully continue to look for a relationship. I sat down in the evening and constructed a small radio with patience and contentment like I never felt before.

Contentment and happiness were there constantly. The condition remained amazingly long. I think six weeks. [That is the divine life of true spiritual flowing. TL]

Franz continues: The second story, that I would like to tell, involves an episode from one of my former lives in Atlantis. The experience was short, but intensive: I wandered around in a beautiful building, obviously in a laboratory area. My condition of consciousness was so, as in the above history, full of solidarity and love and it seemed to be the normal condition of all people. A younger fellow then approached me. He didn't look at me and had an appliance in his hand that he had assembled and immediately wanted to explain it to me, a process that would be quite normal nowadays. But I was aghast. The young man had no contact with me. He was completely into his research and with all of his consciousness confined to his head.

In the laboratory, I found that most people were in this condition. They worked on appliances in order to reinforce and control energies. In my opinion, something like this was not necessary at all. One could guide energies with the heart. I sensed that they had lost contact with each other and with themselves. I was aghast that these young people were so similar to how we behave and think today.

When I recall this experience, I get the idea that this is absolutely sick -- what we consider normal human consciousness. There should be an urgent need to put us into the intensive care unit of a psychiatric clinic. Maybe you can agree with me. Life on this planet can’t work this way. Our current condition is the result of the matrix.

The matrix has many thousand details and is different for everyone. It seems to me, however, that the absence of intensive contact with oneself and with others, as I described, is one of the conditions that allows the matrix to work. Intensive contact only works by feelings and many people from the industrialized countries have their consciousness caught in their heads.” End of Erdl quote.

You may apply this to teachers, preachers, mentors, enlightenment authors, or talk shows. Here are some clues to watch out for from the Atlantean mindset. The whole thing brings about a disconnected feeling. Watch out for that dis-association from the Creator and Creation. No relationship encouraged. A lot of this new “spirituality” feels empty.

The person we listened to the other night was NOT exuding joy, wonder, and delight with life. There was a distinct lifelessness. Of course, I’ve mentioned the complexity and interweavings of complicated theories. No peace. No simplicity. Look deeply into a person’s eyes. Do you see the light sparkling? Do you see Life?

Pick out the use of fear and intimidation used even in seemingly mild ways using NLP NeuroLinguistic Programming. Watch out for the subtleties that make you feel a pang of guilt if you don’t do what they teach. Or, the one who says if you don’t do this, this is how your life will go. Keenly aware of sales techniques, and psychological games, I back way up, and walk off. But, those things work on a lot of people, sad to say.

Be very aware of their attitude toward money. Are their services, products and seminars reasonably priced? It is a good character indicator. I saw one well known lady whose talk I enjoyed so I went to her website determined to buy her energy work book. It was about $200 bucks for a 50 page e-book download. What!??? No matter what her method is, I can live without it if the author is too materialistic, offering no way for the poor, or budget minded person to ever benefit from it. I don’t dislike, or condemn her behavior, but I evaluate it to see if I wish to receive from their teachings or not. Where is their heart?

Regarding money, there are some wonderful givers out there in the energy healing world. A lot of healers and psychics have done more motivated by love, for free, than they ever charged for. A friend of mine bought a set of EFT trainings from the most famous man in the EFT work (Gary Craig) on an “honor payment”, pay what you feel it is worth and what you can afford.

Look for the generous hearted who charge reasonable prices, and offer things free. Those are people you should listen to more than the others who only talk about “getting rich”. Don’t forget to be generous yourself to those who enrich your life. Even with those you move away from, it is advisable not to judge, or criticize them. Just simply move on to some other pasture.

The other thing to watch out for leads me to an analogy we heard from Wayne Dyer. I like that man. He oozes love, joy and peace. He was talking about people calling themselves “god” and he compared it to a drop of water. Dr. Dyer said that if the ocean represented God (Creator) and we are drops of water merged with the waves coming in, that water drop must remain in the ocean to be part of the movement and power of the ocean. If that water drop gets separated from the ocean, it is weakened. The little drop dries up, and is no longer part of the powerful flow, music and beauty of the ocean. So, it is with us and our Creator. If we stay in the Presence of our Father/Mother, and go with the flow of creative love, we are more truly ALIVE! Alone, we become just little drops on dry ground.

So, when people want to be their own “god”, seeing themselves as the only “god” they acknowledge, I feel sorry for them as I steer clear of their teachings. I think it’s sad that the only “god” they know is themselves. They think themselves to be the all-powerful creator of their destiny, which might give them an empty cup of this world’s success, i.e. money, or goods. Or, they de-personalize the Creator as being simply a giant mind, the Field, just a “substance” really, or the big “white board in the sky” spiel. I’ve heard it all. It is so impersonal, disconnected, non-relationship oriented as to be dismal to me. The wonderful thing is, we all get to make our own choices, and walk out our own path. We are free to choose.

I enjoy my relationships with the Creator, the Creation, the other Sons and Daughters of Light, the Angels and Helpers. There is music, singing, laughter, heavenly humor, answers to prayers and instant messaging heaven style, contentment, and peace. I wish for you all the best relationships, the fullest Heart Based Living, and a life full of joy and laughter.
